As part of our work within social responsibility and as a responsible actor in the community, we are now launching an initiative in Sweden that gives the general public the opportunity to realize socially beneficial painting projects. We call it the Paint Fund (Färgfonden).

ACT – A Colorful Tomorrow – is the name for Tikkurila’s sustainability
work. ACT means that we take environmental, financial and social aspects
into account in everything we do. Both in our daily work and as a
natural part of our long-term planning. In this way, we can all work for
a colorful and sustainable future. As part of our work within social responsibility and as a responsible actor in the community, we are now launching an initiative in Sweden that gives the general public the opportunity to realize socially beneficial painting projects. We call it the Paint Fund (Färgfonden).

Simply, this means that Alcro is offering paint for repainting projects such as tired and worn asylum-seekers’ homes, forgotten club venues or dark pedestrian tunnels. In practice, anyone at all in Sweden will be able to apply with his or her painting project on the Paint Fund website. A jury of Alcro representatives will then decide which projects we will support. Finally, we will distribute the paint from our Swedish factory in Nykvarn and help the chosen projects to become reality. More information in Swedish at www.alcro.se/fargfonden.

What would you paint if Alcro was offering the colors?

Sustainable Beauty

Also other Tikkurila Group countries are active is corporate social responsibility. In honour of the 150th anniversary in 2012, Tikkurila introduced the “Sustainable Beauty” program for social responsibility. With the help of the program, we inspire people and communities to improve their living environment and to create beautiful, sustainable and user-friendly environment. By actively participating in projects where paint and colors create joy, comfort, and sustainable beauty, we are able to contribute to the well-being of children, youth, adults, and the elderly.

The Sustainable Beauty program has provided an opportunity for communities and associations to ideate and implement a better and more colorful environment using Tikkurila products. Since 2012, we have taken part in approximately 100 Sustainable Beauty projects in 12 countries we operate. Our products have been used to renovate and decorate building façades, parks, day care centers and their yards as well as schools, among others.
